Senior SAS Programmer
StatWorks, Inc is a high quality specialty provider of biostatistical analysis and consulting, clinical data management, and report writing services focused exclusively on clinical trials and drug development. We are looking to grow our team of talented and experienced professionals by seeking a Senior SAS Programmer.
The Senior SAS Programmer will provide computer programming and quality control support for data management and statistical analysis of clinical research data for a growing Clinical Research firm.
Responsibilities:
- Performs necessary quality control reviews of project results to verify accuracy prior to delivery to client.
- Performs quality control reviews of own work before forwarding on to other team members.
- Provide statistical programming support for projects. This includes data management programming, database manipulation such as analysis files construction and integrated databases, external file management, statistical summary tables and figures programming, data listing and patient profile production.
- Communicates with Project Lead and other team members regarding status and deadlines of programming tasks.
- Provides input from a programming perspective in planning for database design and/or analysis.
- Documents all programs and procedures to ensure an accurate historical record of work completed on assigned project.
- May write programming specifications for analysis files, tables, data listings, and patient profiles.
- Act as a technical resource for programming development.
- Write and maintain project macros to increase efficiency of project work.
- Provide programming and procedure training to less experienced employees.
Education / Experience Required:
Four-year degree in scientific discipline with related computer coursework. A minimum of 5 years of SAS programming experience in a professional environment is required or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the job. General knowledge of computer hardware and software, quality control, and experience with clinical data or health research is required.
